"King Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia (January 1876 – November 1953) (Arabic: عبد العزيز آل سعود‎) was the first monarch of the Third Saudi State (reconquest of his family's ancestral home city of Riyadh in 1902, control over the Najd in 1922, conquest of the Hijaz in 1925) known as Saudi Arabia. (He was commonly referred to as Ibn Saud.) The nation was founded and unified as Saudi Arabia in 1932. As King, he presided over the discovery of petroleum in Saudi Arabia in 1938 and the beginning of large-scale oil exploitation" after the strenghtening of the American government dominion. "He was the father of many children, including all of the subsequent kings of Saudi Arabia."
